Question: Heloo Doc,

Is Diabetes a life long curse??? I really want to understand if they is any cure for Diabetes. Does the new level of technology, Stem-cell therapy also doesn't work???
My Mother has recently acquired Diabetes and am really worried about. The hard part is she doesn't bother to follow her diet or lifestyle. Please let me know how to help her!

Dear XXXXX hi! to begin with it is not a curse, it is a metabolic disorder which is manageable. It is a matter of view point, curse or boon is merely outlook.
it is not curable but manageable. stem cell therapy is under trial, with not much success.
diabetes management is a 4 pillar approach, diet, exercise, medicine and regular follow up. your mother will have to understand that and that is the only way to prevent complications.
