Question: Hello,
Are there any natural remedies for jock itch? I have a pretty severe case and would prefer to heal it naturally if possible.
Thank you

Brief Answer:
No natural remedies for jock itch, start oral antifungals

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at HealthcareMagic
I am Dr Asmeet Kaur Sawhney, a dermatologist.
Unfortunately there are no natural remedies for jock itch.
For severe infection you need to take oral antifungals apart from topical antifungals.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to take tablet terbinafine 250 mg once daily for 2-3 weeks along with application of sertaconazole cream on the affected areas twice daily.
These are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.
Besides this avoid sharing of soap and towel, wear loose cotton clothes, stay in cool airy environment, avoid hot humid weather and keep the area as dry ad possible.
These will hasten the cure of infection.

Dr Asmeet

Thanks so much for your help. Do you think it is possible that it is inverse psoriasis rather than jock itch? I have tried every topical cream on the market (even a prescription one) and it is not going away.

Yes it can be inverse psoriasis.
