Brief Answer: Apply warmth Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for your query. Applying warmth will relax the muscles, help have relief from the pain and also support healing of any minor injuries that would been inflicted. Applying counter irritant like Methyl Salicylate (oil of winter green) would fasten the recovery. Do not massage or perform any exercises in the leg involved as it can only worsen the problem. Rest is very essential do not walk for some time. Rest is very vital in any musculoskeletal problems. Wish you good health. Regards,
