Diabetes is a disease that needs to be controlled well, as causes invlovement of Heart, kidney, blood vessels and a lot of other problems. His Fasting blood sugar and post prandial is high and he requires treatment. I would suggest you to get the following investigations done : 1. Kidney Function tests 2. HbA1c 3. Urine for Albumin 4. ECG 5. Fundus(eye examination). 6. Blood Pressure checkup 7. Lipid Profile These investigations are done to see for blood sugar status and if he has developed any complication of diabetes. I would like to tell you that no home remedies would be able to control this level of blood sugar. However, you may try Fenugreek Seeds (Methi Dana). They are helpful in controlling pre-diabetes status. In such scenario, I see the investigations and if all are normal, I start my patients on Tab Metformin 1000 mg twice a day. We adjust the doses further based on blood sugar levels on medication. Also, he needs to take diabetic diet. In general, he should avoid Sugar and products made of it, Potato, rice, banana, grapes, papaya, alcohol. He can take Fenugreek seeds as home remedy, ther are hel ful, but won’t be able to get blood sugars to normal level. This is my best advise for you. Get his investigations and review with me.
