Suggest Dosage Of Pause MF
Question: Hai Doctor My Period started on 9th Oct still it is continuing bleeding is heavy with blood clot i took Pause MF tablet around 4 tablets it is little controlled so please recommend me how many tablets should i take

thanks for the query to healthcare magic for an opinion,
As its already 21 days today since your bleeding is continuing from the day of menses you should :-
1. first rule out pregnancy by urine pregnancy test.
2.get an ultrasound now to check for the endometrial thickness first, to know if its less than 9 mm or more. If its thicker then it may be out of phase endometrium or if hcg is positive then decidualised endometrium ( if pregnancy test positive)
3. Pause MF can be taken at 500mg thrice a day for 3 days if no pregnancy detected to control bleeding. If bleeding doesn't stop still, then D& C should be done.
4. Also you need to get a hormonal profile done now, to check for any progesterone deficiency, if found then you may have to be placed on cyclical progesterones as well for the next cycle onwards.
