Suggest Alternative Medication In Place Of Pregabalin That Do Not Interact With Ropinirole

Posted on Fri, 13 Jan 2017
Question: Is there a drug that is the same as Pregabalin that I could take for my nerve pain following my spinal surgery. It must not have an interaction with Ropinirol or any of the other drugs I take, as my previous list to you.
The DVLATook my driving license away from me due to the interaction between Ropinirol and Pregabalin.

Brief Answer:
Other antineuralgic drugs may be used.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again and thanks for asking me directly.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Unfortunately there are no drugs same as Pregabalin ( antiseizure drugs ) that don't interact with Ropinirole.

Other antineuralgic drugs such Amitriptyline, Duloxetine may be used in such case with precaution and with no ( or minor ) possible interaction with Ropinirole.

Other possible treatments about nerve pain after spine surgery include TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation), that doesn't interfere with your current medication.

Discuss with your Doctor about these issues.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards.
