Hello,
I guess he do not have any other symptoms(like cough, loose stools, pain on micturition).
This is probably a viral illness. The fever may persist for 3-4 days, along with body aches and anorexia. If he is otherwise well and not very much tired, we need not worry.
Give the following drugs for 3 days:
1. Tab. Dolo 500mg(Paracetamol)
2. Tab. Pantop-D(20) once daily
3. Tab Emeset 4mg(ondansetron):
If he is not getting well in 3-4 days or develops additional symptoms, we can evaluate further.
Let him take rest, have small frequent soft diets and drink plenty of fluids(juices, salted lime water or salted rice water).
