Should I Be Taking Quetiapine For Sleep And Zoloft Antidepressant While Having High Anxiety?

Question: I sometimes take Quetiapine for sleep. I have high anxiety. Should I be taking this? I also take an antidepressant called zoloft. Again, is this making the anxiety worse?

Zoloft is an excellent, safe, nonaddictive and highly effective long-term medication for anxiety. I strongly recommend it. Quetiapine is also nonaddictive and is highly effective for sleep. You are on an excellent medication regimen for now!

The zoloft isn't really helping my high anxiety problem. I have panic attacks which last for hours almost every single day. That is why I was taking xanax and it helped, but it's addictive. Is there anything else I can try to ease my panic attacks. I can't focus or think straight when I am having them.

What dose of Zoloft are you taking? It should be slowly increased to a maximum dose of 20mg daily.

Absolutely do not take Xanax. Ask your doctor about increasing the Zoloft dose to improve anxiety, as it can be almost doubled from its current over time, which may be useful and helpful.
