Should I Be Concerned About Fever Followed By Loose Motion Due To Lactose Intolerance?

Question: My son is 2.5 years old. We went to our native place for 2 months. After coming back the very next day he had fever for 2 days. Without any other symptom. After two days he started having loose motions. There was no fever after that. He used to had stool twice a day but very watery. His doc said he has got temporary lactose intolerance and changed his milk. And also asked us to get routine stool test done. The results are as follows
Color- yellow brown
Form- semi formed
Reaction- acidic
Everything else is nil. No pus cell, no ova, no parasite. Only rbc 0-3/hpf.
Doc said reports are normal, try to avoid sugar or sweet for 3 days. He said its a case of lactose intolerance/ indigestion and he will be fine after 3 days.
Today its the third day after report and a week since the loose motion started. My son is fine and active. But his stool started to vary now. Like he did very less stool yesterday. And today morning his poop was normal. But now in the afternoon he had mushy semi formed poop again.
He was prescribed ranidom pd. Unobiotics and accel multivitamin. Now after the test. Doc stopped all the medicine. He is having gutpro and accel multivitamin now.
Is it normal? Or should i be concerned. Should i wait for a day or two?

Brief Answer:
As explained below

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

I have gone through the details and the reports. It is normal. The best treatment for loose stools is adequate hydration and probiotics. Sometimes it gets treated in 3 days sometimes it takes about 2 weeks to get alright. As long as he is eating and active, do not worry. In case of lactose intolerance, better to avoid it in future.

I hope this answered your query.
