Red Rashes Appeared On Thigh And Arm. Could It Be Blood Clot?

Question: Dear Doctor.

This questions is from my wife. She is 34 yrs old and mother of a daughter born on Nov 2010. She is a homemaker. She noticed that she has some hard areas in her legs (thigh) and arm. It feels like a thickened muscle or a blood clot when it is felt with hands. It is of the size of a small tomato or lemon. She feels that she has got them because of carrying the baby around and maybe walking too much. We wanted to know your opinions on this. Is it okay if we can consult a General Physician or do we have to goto an expert?

Thanks

It could be blood clot if she is on blood thinners.
More commonly,it could be a swelling arising from the fat or nerve, called lipoma or neurofibroma.
she needs to consult a general doctor or a general surgeon.
Hope this helps. Kindly write back for doubts if any.
best regards
