Brief Answer:
Recovery varies from patient to patient

Detailed Answer:
Hello There

After going through the medical details provided by you I can understand your concern for your fathers health and I would like to tell you that every patient has a different recovery period as it depends upon several factors like

1. Age
2 Assosiated comorbidities
3 How bad was the injury
4 Patients own will
5 Family support and motivation

I would like to have some more information
1. Age of your father
2. Is he diabetic or not?
3. His X-ray reports
4. His operation details like what sort of surgery he went through

Now a days if every thing stays fine surgeons usually prefer to make the patient XXXXXXX as early possible.

Kindly revert back with required information.

Kind Regards

Brief Answer:
Hello

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the feedback.

As he had multiple fractures and a age group of 50 +, the recovery process will b a little slow. He will be requiring graduated weight bearing training under medical supervision initially with the help of crutches for sometime.

However as internal fixation has been done so he will be up in a couple of days. Complete independent walks like before will depend on several factors as I explained before and varies from patient to patient.

Hope this information will answer your query.

Kind Regards

Brief Answer:
Hello

Detailed Answer:
It generally take on an average 3 months to recover for such a fracture in young adults but in this age group recovery will b s little slower and can take anywhere from 3-6 months to recover completely.

However it still depends upon lot of other factors as I told earlier.

All diary products like milk, cheese, yogurt are excellent source and apart from this almonds, apricot, fish specially salmon, beans, lentils are all good source of calcium.

Kind Regards
