Question: My eyes are feeling dry and heavy. It waters at times but isn't red nor is it giving any burning sensation. This happened 4 months back as well when was in Mexico and doctor gave few eye drops and said I had "Conjuntivitis alergica" .This started 2 days back again.

1) Non steroids Of this group one compound is Oloptidine, available in the market as olo,or olopat eye drops, to be put in one drop twice a day
2) Steroids this group is to be used as a last resort,for short duration.Marketed as Ciplox D,mosi D,Dexcin,Gatiflox DM.
To be put in 4times a day.They have a statutory warning attached that prolonged use can cause cataract and glaucoma.
Anti allergy tablets like cetrazine or Allegra may have a little sedation as side effect,so is to be taken at bed time.
