Question: My 2.5 year old has a square black sore on her gum. It is not a bruise. It almost looks like there is something under it but I can’t touch it without her going hysterical from the pain. Can I send you a picture of it?

Brief Answer:
Looks like a foreign body lodged there

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have seen the images attached.

It looks like a foreign body lodged in there. I suggest you not to touch it and give her Ibuprofen as of now if there is pain.
I recommend you consult a pediatric dentist as soon as possible please.

Best regards
