Question: can one take metformin, diamicron mr 30 and lantus or is it better to increase the lantus to avoid taking the diamicron my email is YYYY@YYYY

I am so sorry to hear about these increased sugars. Were these measures after meals or in a fasting state? At your age, blood sugar values of less than 8 in a fasting state or less than 11 after meals are okay, Should they be out of this range, then it is reasonable to add another drug to address this. In this case, I will suggest that you increase lantus as opposed to taking diamicron. This will allow for easier manipulation and decrease any chances of making mistakes by using several different drugs.
