hello and welcome to health care magic,
I am Dr Sriram Nathan an ENT surgeon with good experience in voice disorders
I do understand your problem but if you are more specific then it would be better.
Do you not like the timbre or bass or other characters of your voice which are inbuilt and dependent on the integrity of the vocal cords and folds and on their vibration.
Or is your voice hoarse or changed due to problems in the structure of the vocal cords such as polyps and nodules
In many cases the voice can also be altered or not sounding good in cases such as hypothyroidism and other hormonal problems
In all of these cases I would advice you to first get a complete work up done which includes-
-complete blood profile with hormonal assays
- videolaryngoscopic examination of vocal cords
- stroboscopic examination of the functional aspect of vocal cords movements
- complete speach and language evaluation by a trained speech therapist
you can get these done and get back to me or any ENT surgeon with the reports
In most of the cases speech can be modified and improved upon by speech therapy, for this you can get in touch with a good speech therapist. of course if there are any additional findings in the above tests the the treatment will be based on the cause
Hope this helps and just understand that everyone is unique in his or her own way
if you have any more doubts do get back to me
regards
Dr Sriram Nathan
