Is There A Reaction Between Paxil And Zaralto?
What type of reaction?
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.
Do you want to know about any possible reaction between Paxil and Zaralto?
Are you experiencing any side effects?
There is one known interaction between the two: Zaralto is metabolised by CYP3A4 and Paxil inhibits this enzyme. There are chances of increased side effects of Zaralto when given with Paxil.
As per a reference from a research article: Therefore, since rivaroxaban is metabolized by CYP3A4, antidepressants that are inhibitors of this isoenzyme, such as fluoxetine, sertraline, paroxetine and fluvoxamine must be avoided. Based on drug interactions in cytochrome p450, the use of escitalopram, citalopram, venlafaxine, mirtazapine or milnacipran would be safer in such patients since these drugs have a minimum CYP 450 inhibition potential.
Hope it helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
