Brief Answer:
yes somewhat like mirtazapine

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

Lumin contains mianserine. Mianserin is a tetracyclic antidepressant while mirtazapine is a noradrenergic and specific serotonergic antidepressant (NaSSA).
Mirtazapine is similar in its biological activity to mianserin but mianserine is not used as a first line antidepressant. It is also not available everywhere. It is specifically used when person has sexual side effects with other antidepressant medicines.

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.

Regards,
Dr.Chintan Solanki.

You can increase up to 40 mg and inform your doctor later on. For further increment you need to take prior permission of doctor as increasing dose may lead to increase in side effects like drowsiness, dry mouth , postural hypotension, dizziness, constipation.

Take care dear.
