Is Mifty Kit Effective In Terminating Pregnancy?
Question: my wife is having delayed menstrual period and almost three weeks over...consulted Dr. and advised to take Mifty kit (3dozes) which is over now... still there is chances of pregnancy...menstrual yet to start...???.. kindly advise...

The mifty kit is effective in most cases of early pregnancy. The bleeding starts after the 3 tablets of misoprostol.
If no bleeding is seen after a day of misoprostol then repeat dosage recommended.
So I would recommend that you wait. Also hope pregnancy test has been done.

misoprostol tablets dose is over on wed night... she had felt for bleeding y'day morning but it has not started as it should be...preg test has shown positive ie. before taking tablet dose...pls adivse...

In following instance it may be delayed or absent.
If vomiting has occured, or the duration of pregnancy is more than 2 months.
If no vomiting or the pregnancy is less than 8 weeks then repeat misoprostol 200mcg one tablet twice a day for 2 day should be ok.
In very few cases there may be absolutely no response. In such case a ultrasound may be done and if retained pregnancy is seen then surgically mtp or commonly known as D&C is done.
