Brief Answer:
Hello, welcome to HCM

Detailed Answer:
No, Iodine plus 2 is not good for "weight loss." Iodine supplementation is necessary in certain countries more than others, i.e. XXXXXXX as the soil is depleted in it. Iodine is necessary for the thyroid gland, which among other things, is responsible for weight management among other things. So, if your thyroid gland is not working properly you may partake of iodized salt, which was how a national health program XXXXXXX among other Asian countries dealt with iodine repletion. Even Michigan in the US was called "the goitre belt" for the same reason.

If you fear your thyroid is not working, I suggest you visit the doctor and have a test done called the TSH. If the TSH is around 2.5 it is doing well. Otherwise the doctor can give you medicine for a sluggish thyroid and I will still suggest you use the iodized form of salt.

The best thing for losing weight is cut calories, increase exercise and learn to eat the right foods (stay away from fried foods,etc).. If you wish lifestyle guidance I can provide some tips if you tell me your sex, ht, wt., wt. goal and medications.
