Question: My husbands pains are very severe, dosage oxycodone 10 dies not easy the pain. Can I give him two pills?

Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

Oxycodone,a narcotic analgesic dose in Adults is Per Oral 10 to 30 mg every 4th hourly.
You can give him 2 pills of 10 mg;administer with food or milk to minimize GI irritation.

Avoid excessive sedation - I mean next dose may be kept at 10 mg depending on response.

I need to know, can I give him two 10 mg pills then 4-6 hrs later give him two more.
One pill does not kill the pain, but reduces it somewhat.

He gets these pains in his foot after dialysis, I mean
the pains are extreme on scale 1-10 it is a 10.

Yes,you can give 2 tablets every 4 -6 hourly as requirement to relieve pain but take care not to over sedate him in the bargain.If you feel that he has relief of pain,subsequent dose can be reduced to 1 tablet.
