Is It Safe To Drink Alcohol When On Librium ?

Question: I had 5mg of librium yesterday morning at 10.30am and the another 5mg at 1.30pm yesterday afternoon (none today). Would it be safe to drink alcohol tonight at a party?

Just wondering when I can expect an answer, thank you

Thanks for posting your query .

Librium is a anxiolytic drug. It is given to calm the patient who may experience withdrawal symptoms if there are not taking Alcohol.

But there is no problem if you take Librium and alcohol except the dose of Librium may not be effective from next day in calming you down and you may start experiencing withdrawal symptoms.

thank you, so it is safe to take alcohol tonight as it will have been over 26 hours since I took a 5mg tablet? I only had a total of 10mg yesterday and none prior to that and none today. I just want to be c;ear it won't be dangerous to have wine this evening?
