Is It Possible To Have Same Gestational Age And Fetal Age?

Question: Hey Doctor Have you ever heard of the gestational age and fetal age being close in dates when it comes to a pregnancy. Are there special cases where the gestational and fetal ages come closer in date rather than 2 weeks apart. Can a girl get pregnant during the week her period supposedly started and stopped after three days or period suppose to come on. If that is the case if the Ultrasound scan shows the LMP date and the weeks age of the embryo (gestational ) can there be a case where gestational and fetal ages are a day apart?

It is anecdotal and very rare to hear of fetal and gestational ages to coincide, but not unheard of.

I need a few more details to opine on your case.
When was your last menstrual period ?
Please upload the report of the scan not just the images.
Did you have regular periods?

I had sex with the girl on April 5 2016 which was the day before the start of her LMP. She actually started bleeding on April 6,2016 . She had an ultrasound done on XXXXXXX 2 2016 which stated she was 8 weeks and 1 day pregnant. She also mentioned that she had been having sex with another guy around April 18-27 of 2016. Can you explain to me what are the chances she was conceived . I am unsure if she got pregnant by me or the other guy. I use the pull out method but I dont know if that was enough . Today I believe she is 15 weeks and 3 days from her last LMP. or is this the fetal age as well. Also she said she use protection with the other guy but i dont know if thats true or if the really had sex one time. I dont have the report, she only gave me the scan. Also her next period was subject to come in May 4 2016 but it didnt?

Hi again.
If she had her period on the 6th of April, she would be four weeks pregnant ( gestational age ) on the 4th of May, and 8 weeks pregnant on the 1st of XXXXXXX
SO she would be exactly 8 weeks 1 day pregnant on the 2nd of XXXXXXX
The scan is perfectly coinciding with her dates.
Also, the most likely date of conception would be 14 days after her period, that is around the 20th of April.
Fetal age and gestational ages, as I said earlier, cannot coincide.
She has definitely conceived with the guy she had sex with around April 18 - 27, there is no doubt about that.

Hey doctor. Just to ensure your response. She said she period lasted 3 days as far as bleeding. So if this is true when did she onvulate???

How soon can a woman ovulate other than the normal 14 day cycle from her LMP??

Also would the scan show the fetal age or the gestational age of the embryo. That I provided in the update report section?would April 6 2016 be the day she conceived or the LMP according to the scan provided??because she is saying that her doctor says she conceived the week of her LMP. But her due date of a 40 week cycle is January 11,2017. Can this be true ???

I need to have a look at the actual printed report.
As I said, ovulation earlier than day 10 is anecdotal.
What was her normal cycle length ?
The scan shows the gestational age, not the fetal age.
6th APril would be the LMP according to the scan provided.
The doctor cannot say that she conceived the week of her LMP.
Her due date would not be 11the January, if that is the case.

WIth a cycle length of 28 days, ovulation would occur on 20th April in more than 95 % of cases.

Normal cycle length would been 28 days. But I think her period stayed on for 3 days starting April 6. She said she started spitting in the 6 of April

So it's obvious that she could not be telling the truth about only having unprotected sex with me and that someone else could've had unprotected sex with her and got her pregnant but she wants me to believe I am the father ?
