Is It Possible To Grow Back Penis Shaft Skin?

default
Posted on Wed, 8 Jun 2016
Question: It seems that in my overzealousness to clean my penis I removed the penis shaft skin with the cleaning agent. I was wondering whether or not it will ever grow back.

Brief Answer:
You can undergo a V Flap Circumcision or a Z plasty - see a urologist.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

You have not mentioned the cleaning agent that you have used, and whether the shaft skin was abraded as a result of force applied or due to corrosive effect.

Scars in the penis shaft skin can cause serious problems in erection. If you are not circumcised, then you need to go to a urologist for something called as a V Flap circumcision. Here, after removal of the outer foreskin, the inner foreskin is embedded into the shaft at 12'0 clock position thus creating a very loose circumcision scar. This causes loosening of the skin of the shaft of the penis, because as you describe it, if the shaft skin was denuded even partially, fibrotic contractures will occur as per healing by first intention.

If you are circumcised, then you again need to see a urologist for probably a Z plasty of the contracture of the denuded skin on the shaft.

Either way, there is a solution. Though it is surgical only.

You still need a urologists opinion even if you were to apply a scar removal cream.

This needs a physical exam.
