Question: is it dangerous for me to take amoxycillin trihydrate 250mg with xarelto 20mg (rivaroxaban). I am currently on the Xarelto. I had a tooth out recently and there was a slight infection and I was prescribed with the anti biotic as I have described. is it safe or should I stop using the anti biotic?

Brief Answer:
no known drug interactions

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

There are no known interactions with amoxicillin and xarelto.

Amoxicillin interacts with the other more common anticoagulant warfarin but it does not interact with xarelto.

This is one of the advantages of these newer anti coagulants, a lot less drug interactions.

You can use them together safely.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
