Is Intracavernosal Pharmacotherapy Safe For Treatment Of Erectile Dysfunction?

Question: I would like a second opinion. My question is related to ICP (intracavernosal pharmacotherapy) for treatment of ED. I would like to know if this treatment method has any adverse effect on a man's penis, or anything else. Could this treatment do any harm to my health or any damage at all?
Would having oral sex be dangerous if there's an open puncture? maybe a little blood?

Oral sex is safe with the small open puncture. There is not risk of your partner absorbing the medicine.

ICP has some risks including, but not limited to: nodules at the site of injection, scarring at the site of injection, curvature due to the nodule or scar, bleeding, infection, and priapism (prolonged erection).

These risks are rare especially when you are educated and trained on how to use this treatment.

Wow! What would happen in the case of priapism? Would the erection go down by itself....or would more medication be necessary? I'm not crazy about taking all different meds.

Would the development of nodules be dangerous?

Also, is this ICP therapy safer than...let's say...oral meds? Viagra, etc.?

Oral meds are safer, but may not be as effective.

Nodule development is not dangerous but can cause your erection to curve.

If you have priapism, it is usually requiring drainage in an ER (drainage with needles into your penis and injection of antidote medicine).

It can, but it is rare.

If you start with the low dose and slowly go to the high dose, then it is very likely (<5%) to occur.

If you start with a low dose and increase to a higher dose it's unlikely or likely to occur? My erections are relatively hard, but not hard enough to penetrate a man. Would a medication like Viagra be overdoing it, since I already have somewhat of an erection? It just gets flaccid sometimes, especially upon entry. While I realize this may be psychological, I still think I need some assistance. I am 62 and that could also be a factor. Of course, I'll go to a doctor, but I'd still like your opinion.
