Hi,

There are many causes of itching.
It could be senile itching related to old age or due to any systemic disorders like diabetes, thyroid disorders, liver and kidney ailments or anemia.

I would recommend you to take antihistaminic like tablet cetirizine 10 mg once or twice daily depending on the intensity of itching and apply cortisone cream mixed in a moisturizing lotion in the ratio of 1:1 twice daily.

Also avoid harsh soaps, stay in cool airy environment, avoid spicy foods and use lukewarm water for bathing.
