Brief Answer:
Please follow the advises....

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX, Welcome to HCM,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern..

First of all please note that Consumption of any Alcohol (even Wine) while under treatment of METRONIDAZOLE is STRICTLY PROHIBITED (it even comes under Statutory Warning with the drug package itself)..

Metronidazole is extremely notorious to cause adverse effects with alcohol like palpitation(faster heart-beats), excessive flushing/redness over face and body/ severe nausea/vomiting/metallic taste in mouth - some of them even are quite life threatening in their severe forms..

So, since you've already drank the wine last night, I'd strongly advice you NOT to take the Metronidazole at least for another 48-72 hrs (exact time duration varies from each individual depending on their body metabolism)..

Once started therapy with Metronidazole, also refrain yourself from any alcoholic beverage till you complete the full course of the Metronidazole and also wait for another 72 hrs after that strictly before drinking again..

Stay safe..best wishes

Take Care
Kind Regards
