Is Vaxirab N The Same As Rabipur?
Question: Good Aftrnoon..
My Self XXXXXXX XXXX from XXXXXXX (India). On 01 Aug 2017 evening at 05 O'clock my five years old son got bite a by a infected dog. Next day on 02 Aug doctor advised to take one Tetanus and prescribe five dose of vaccine Rabipur but Rabipur was not avaiable at our area so we took VaxiRab N. Please suggest if any other option to save my little son to avoid infection.

VaxiRab N and Rabipur are the same. They are an inactivated vaccine, made from a dead virus, helps develop immunity by forming antibodies, that protect against infection caused by Rabies viruses present in the vaccine.
In fact you can take RABIPUR OR VAXIRAB N OR VERORAB OR ZOONOVAC (all same different brand) up to 2.5 IU per dose.
Wash and dress the area well immediately after dog bite.
