Brief Answer:
UTROGESTAN IS SAFE TO PREVENT MISCARRIAGE.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

UTROGESTAN contains natural micronised progesterone and it is quite SAFE during pregnancy. I suggest you to follow your doctor's prescription.

Basically, it helps to support healthy pregnancy and prevent possible miscarriage in early weeks. Do check up periodically with ultrasound scan to your doctor.

You should AVOID heavy work, long journey, more ups/ downs, high heel shoe, uneven surface, sexual intercourse and TAKE COMPLETE bed rest.

Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.

Wish your good health and take care yourself.

Regards,
Dr S Patra

So we have 200 mg and 100mg. Is it okay to use the 200mg through vaginal and 100mg through orally? And how many of each mg per day should be used? Thanks again.

And will all this help a threatened miscarriage?

Thanks

Also, we was told that it maybe a threatened miscarriage on Saturday, will it be okay to start using these drugs on Tuesday? Thanks

Brief Answer:
DOSE IS RIGHT. START MEDICINE AT THE EARLIEST.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for follow up queries.

1) UTROGESTAN (progesterone supplement) can be taken 200 mg vaginally and 100 mg orally until pregnancy progresses further. It is quite RIGHT and I suggest to follow your doctor's advice. XXXXXXX dose is 400 mg/ day (TOTAL) and it depends on the situation.

2) In Threatened miscarriage, recovery is POSSIBLE and it can be continued as healthy pregnancy with conservative management.

3) You should start taking this medicine at the earliest. Take healthy balanced protein added diet with Vitamin and Folic acid supplement. Complete Bed rest is also advisable.

Hope, I have answered your query. Kindly, close the discussion.

All the best and good luck.

Regards,
Dr S Patra

Brief Answer:
TAKE ONE OF EACH CAPSULES DAILY.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for queries.

1) UTROGESTAN is available in two formulation - 200 mg vaginal capsule and 100 mg oral capsule. You have to buy both medicines in store and take only ONE (each of them - 1 vaginal & 1 oral) daily on same time.

2) You need to undergo one Trans Vaginal ultrasound scan to reveal details of fetal well being. It can't be confirmed clinically. Kindly, consult with doctor after 1 week.

Hope, it helps for your information. If you have any other query, you can ask any time by viewing above link.

All the best and good luck.
