Juvederm is a high molecular weight substance that has a tremendous capacity to absorb water, swell up, and thus fill the areas where it is injected. This is the mechanism which is used to plump lips and such like imperfections of the skin.

It is a safe method, so much so that it is FDA approved way back since 2006.
The quantum of desired effect depends upon the amount of juvederm injected. Therefore, it can be suitably adjusted to match patients' expectations.
It is safe for patients of your age group. The use is not considered that safe for the pregnant, the lactating, and the individuals having a history of allergy to bacterial proteins, anaphylaxis, on medication with aspirin, Vit E, and having easy bruising.

It is recommended that aspirin like salts be stopped couple of days before the intended treatment. So is the case with physical exercises.

I would like to add to your knowledge that effects of these injections are temporary. This is because ultimately the agent gets dissolved and slow reversion to previous state starts after 6 months-12 months is most patients.
