I Received Unprotected Oral Sex And Received And Performed Analingus

default
Posted on Thu, 22 Oct 2020
Question: I received unprotected oral sex and received and performed analingus with another male...and the day after I woke up with sore throat, and tingling in my lips, throat and tongue. Of course I'm very nervous about catching anything so I'm aware these could be just psychosomatic symptoms. I guess I'm curious what the likelihood is of me contracting an STD from those two sexual acts. Everything lasted probably only about 10-15minutes.

Brief Answer:
It’s normal to have allergic reaction to the body fluids of other person

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting the query

At the outset, I would like to reassure you that this is one of the commonest problems during these acts.

The sore throat and the tingling sensation is due to reaction of the tissues to the body fluids of the other individual. This can happen to anyone.

My suggestions to you are:
1. Drink frequent sips of warm water - to improve the blood circulation to the affected parts and reduce the inflammation.
2. Do gargles with diluted povidone iodine mouth gargles.
3. You can try taking Tab Fexofenadine 120mg (available over the counter) to reduce the itching.
4. Next time, please be careful when you are performing such acts. Ensure the parts are clean and tidy. Avoid analingus as far as possible. This is one of the dirtiest places on our body.

Hope this answers your query; revert back to me if you have any follow up queries.

Ok, thank you...would you say it is safe for me to engage in sex with my regular partner? Or should I wait to be safe...?

Also...perhaps unrelated to the sexual encounter but I'm not sure...yesterday I also found a pea-sized, hard lump under my chin/on my neck, in the middle of my neck slightly on the left. It doesn't feel like any swollen lymph nodes I've ever had before when I've been sick...so I'm very worried and curious as to what it might be.

Brief Answer:
Do not worry! It could be the harmless enlargement of lymph node...

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Welcome back

Yes, you can definitely engage in your regular sexual activities. But, ensure you engage in a clean and safe practice. Also, avoid the same with the strangers to the maximum extent possible. If at all you do so, ensure you take all the necessary precautions.

It is quite normal to notice an enlargement of the lymph node in the lower part of the chin following inflammation or infection in the oral cavity. You can continue with the measures I had mentioned earlier. This should subside within a week or two. If it worsens, then you would require antibiotics to treat the same.

Hope this clarifies your doubts.

Wish you good health
