Question: I have had side pain in my URQ for the last 5 days and 6 nights. The first came with vomiting and a few days Included nasea and shortness of breath. A doctor told me it was a muscle tear because it hurt when I move. However I had some painful urination and the pain went away for 24 hours. Now it's back , although not when I move. It's just there like a stitch and I'm painfully urinating similar to a UIT and I biologically have always had them often. My period this month was irregular and the bleeding occasionally stops. My urethra looks swollen and red and I can't tell of it's bleeding or not because of my period. My urine is always very yellow. Please help

Brief Answer:
Possibility of Ureteric stone has to be ruled out .

Detailed Answer:
hello
Thanks for query .

Based on the facts that you have posted pain in abdomen and vomiting associated with painful urination that you have could be most likely to be due to stone in lower part of ureter and has to be ruled out .

Consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis

.Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

In the mean time start taking antibiotics like Ciprofloxacin and Nitrofurantoin along with antispasmodic like Proxyvon or Brofen twice daily.

Ensure to drink more water to keep yourself well hydrated .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions,I shall be happy to help you
