I Have Had An Endoscopy And Colonoscopy Last Month; 6

Question: I have had an endoscopy and colonoscopy last month; 6 polyps in colon and one adenoma in Duodenum. All benign. My only symptom is mild r
RUQ discomfort some. This past week they did an MRI of Abdomen nothing remarkable. They also did a capsule and found 4 Polypoid lesions; 3 small and 1 larger. The one small and larger are both in the duodenum too. I really don’t have any symptoms like noticeable blood in stool, black stool, weight loss, tired, etc. but now Im nervous the large polypoid could be cancer? What are the chances? Can they cure it!? If it is cancer would I improve my outcome by going to MD XXXXXXX or XXXXXXX Kettering. Thank you

I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.
Only with biopsy it can be confirmed whether it is malignant.
Looking at the description in the report, there are more chances of the bigger polyp containing cancer cells.
Next week when they do enteroscopy, they will do a biopsy from it which will help to know whether it is malignant or not.

Hi,
There was some issue with the website and I was not able to reply earlier.
If it is malignancy, surgery will be done to resect it .
Survival chances are good.
Not all larger polyps are precancerous or cancerous.
Only with histopathological examination one can confirm it.
