I Have A Slightly Lengthy Inquiry. Maybe Fifteen Years Or

Question: I have a slightly lengthy inquiry. Maybe fifteen years or more ago, I had an interesting array of happenings. I had what I thought was a urinary tract infection. I had used a hot tub prior to this. Maybe a week or so later I had a day or two of occasional stomach pain. A bit after that I presented with reactive arthritis. I got tested for all STDs, and I got tested for a UTI. It all came up negative. The reactive arthritis didn't go away. I googled some things and had an endoscopy done specifically with a concern of H. Pylori. That also came back negative. That doctor advised me to start taking probiotics, and that maybe I had candida overgrowth. I did one of these ask a doctor sites a month or so ago, and they seemed to think SIBO was more likely. The bottom line is that I did start taking probiotics and took them for probably a year. This was seven or so years ago, but I went off them and my body continued to improve. I started on probiotics again recently, and I have improved significantly. I lean towards SIBO because gaining weight was very difficult. I now have very normal bowel movements, no diarrhea (only had that when I consumed a lot of sugar), and my constipation is pretty much gone. I believe I'm close to over whatever it was, but I will continue to take the probiotics. My main question is what level of concern should I have moving forward? Did the reactive arthritis mean the infection was in my bloodstream. I have never been sick as though I had an infection in my blood. I also don't think I have leaky gut because I was told I'd feel very ill. Did going fifteen years with some sort of overgrowth put me at risk for long-term disease like cancer? I've been told no, but I have paranoia.
