Posted on Tue, 20 Oct 2020
Question: I had my Thyroid test done recently for T3, T4 and TSH. Below are the values.

T3 - 102 ng/dl

T4 - 7.3 µg/dl

TSH - 5.4 µIU/ml

I am also trying to conceive, since a couple of months.

Question -->

1. Could you please let me know if the T3, T4 and TSH levels are fine for conceiving or any medication is needed to bring them to normal levels for successful conceiving?

2. If yes, could you please prescribe them ?

3. Also, can the conceiving be tried during the medication or we need to wait for the medication to be over and then try for conceiving?

Brief Answer:
About TSh and prrgnancy:

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
I have gone carefully through your concern.
The TSH is considered high if you plan a pregnancy, it should be under 2.5 mUi/ ml when you plan to concieve.
You may take levothyroxine 25 mcg daily but you need to see a doctor in person for a prescription.
After 6 weeks of treatment you may check TSh again.
You have also low VitD and anemia, that need to be treated also.
Wish you good health.
Best wishes,
Dr.Mirjeta
