Question: I had an EKG yesterday and the results appear to be abnormal. I am scheduled for a robotic hysterectomy next week. The results are as follows: Vent. Rate: 074 BPM Atrial Rate: 074 BPM; P-R Int: 128 ms; QRS Dur: 098ms; QT Int: 370 ms; P-R-T Axes: 076 100 022 degrees; QTc Int: 410 ms
Normal Sinus rhythm
Rightward Axis
Borderline ECG
Nonspecific T wave abnormality now evident in Anterior leads
QT has shortened
What does all of this mean and can I still have surgery??
Thank you!!

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome to Ask a Doctor service!

I understand your concern and would explain that these non specific changes do not seem to be concerning and I don't think that this will impose any contraindication to your upcoming surgery.

Anyway I would like to directly review your ECG, if you could upload it as an image.

I remain at your disposal!

Kind regards,
