2. Muscle stiffness: During sleep, your muscles can become stiff and tight, especially if you're not moving much. This can lead to morning back pain. Gentle stretching exercises or a warm shower in the morning may help alleviate the stiffness and pain.

3. Disc problems: If you have an underlying disc problem, such as a herniated disc, the pain may worsen when you first wake up due to increased pressure on the affected area when lying down. As you move around and the spine decompresses, the pain may lessen. If you suspect a disc issue, it's best to GET Magnetic resonance tomography (MRI) spine done.

4. Arthritis or inflammation: Conditions like osteoarthritis or inflammatory conditions can cause morning stiffness and pain in the joints, including the back. Get rheumatoid factor (RA FACTOR) test done to rule out rheumatoid arthritis.
