Question: I am a 50 year old XXXXXXX male and also have OCD. I am a germaphobe. Three days ago I had a sexual encounter where a guy licked my butt also called rimming. I didn't do any other sex act. I went to see my own doctor about it and he said I don't need to get tested or to worry about it. I am seeking a second opinion. Do you think I should get tested and/or treated? Are there any diseases I could catch from this encounter?

Rimming is a relatively safe sexual act compared to penetrative sex, vaginal or anal though there is some risk of transmitting HSV type 1 from oral to anal mucosa. There is no risk of HIV or syphilis unless the person performing rimming had active sores or ulcers or oral lesions at the time of act.

Not reallly. Gonorrhea and Chlamydia usually affect the throat rather than oral cavity and licking is unlikely to transmit.
