Brief Answer:
NO rug is needed!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about what happened. I understand you are probably worried but you shouldn’t really be worried. It is impossible to inhale a worm because it is too big to go through the air passages. If it got into the stomach, the acidity of 2 is severe enough to kill it in less than no time. There is actually no reason to get worried about it. You need no medications and all is certainly fine.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Hello,

Totally inadequate answer. Are you really a doctor? Do you know how to read? The question
is about roundworm eggs, not worms. Do you know that humans can get visceral larva migrans
and ocular larvae migrans from dog roundworm larvae and racoon roundworm .If you did not
know about this, at least do some reading before answering.

HI and thank you so much for this follow up.

For real, I must have misread your question but have had a chance to go over it again and have understood you fully. I thought you were mentioning the worm but it is clear you are talking about the eggs.

The probability of having ingested eggs really depends on the care offered to dogs and other pets around the yard. If they are systematically dewormed, then there is really a low probability that infected eggs are around the yard that you must have ingested. If you think such dogs really exist seen the nature of the pets around the yard, I might suggest you get a single dose of albendazole 400mg and that will clear any lingering doubts and worries. However, I am pretty convinced that it is unlikely to have stray animals around the USA not being routinely dewormed.

Again, sorry for misinterpreting your question. Thanks for the clarification. Let me know if this addresses your concerns or you require more information.
