Question: one side of what I think is my occipital bone sticks out and now I'm worried. I'm not sure how long it's been like this or if it's been like this.

Brief Answer:
Does it cause any symptoms otherwise?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist, here to answer your query.

Most of the time, these irrgularities are just incidentally observed and don't have any significance. This is most likely physiological.

However, Does it cause any symptoms like headache or pain locally?

I shall be glad to have you in further details so that I can answer this well further.

Brief Answer:
Its likely to be normal.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for being in follow-up.

Since it does not cause any symptoms, it may be physiological.

Keep observing and if no symptoms arise, just be asssured.

In case of extreme tension, you can get a head CT scan done, to rule out any abnormality.

Hope that helps. If you still have any further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.
