Brief Answer:
Sebaceous cyst.

Detailed Answer:
My dear,
Thanks for sending your query to us.
This is a sebaceous cyst and it doesn't cause any symptoms. It only looks unsightly when it grows bigger. It usually doesn't resolve on its own,so has to be taken out in a very small out door procedure. This doesn't respond to any treatment also,so taking it out is usually the only option.
Do get back to me in case of any further query in this regard.

So this doesn't go away on its own? How much bigger will it grow, usually? What do you mean by outdoor procedure? What do I do? Right now I'm putting a warm compress over my entire (closed) eye lid. Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Sebaceous cyst

Detailed Answer:
My dear,
Good of you to get back to me.
This grows very slowly. This may take a lot of time to be big enough to be noticeable.Warm compress will do you no harm, and is unlikely to help, but you can continue it for a while.
Out door procedures are those which are performed in the doctors chamber and you are not admitted.
You don't have to do anything else right now and see how it progresses.

Do you recommend going to the doc now, before it gets bigger and harder to take care of. It's not just this, I have been getting outbreaks lately. If you see my other questions. I could be having some kind of systemic infection on my whole head? Today I also noticed bumps on my scalp, they usually go away but something is wrong. If I go to doctor, will a course of antibiotics cure this eyelid bump and the other bumps that might be bacterial? I can feel the bump grazing on my eyeball now... That can't be good. Can my eyeball get infected if this bursts on it? Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Sebaceous cyst.

Detailed Answer:
My dear,
Thanks for getting back to me.
It is never a bad idea to get to a doctor, who will see things more comprehensively than what we decide on the basis of a photograph.Still it looks unlikely to be a infection,as an infection should be painful to touch. This ,as far I could gather is painless. If you are going to a doctor, might as well have his opinion also.
The eyelid problem would respond to a course of antibiotic had it been an infections. The pus would come out in another couple of days.Again for infection ,this should have been painful.
You should see a doctor and make him look at the lid problem as well and have his opinion.Do get back to me in case of any further query in this regard.
