Hi, I Recently Have Been Having Soreness In My Muscles
Question: Hi,
i recently have been having soreness in my muscles in my breast area. I am a 66 yr old male who had polio, spinal surgeries (3), have low testosterone levels, 6 coronary stents with various paralysis and weakness from polio and spinal issues. I am ambulatory and seen every 6 months by a cardiologist.
Family history of a large family shows cardiac problems, no cancer ever, and long life (mom died at 96; aunt at 108; most live to 85+.
I am used to having muscle aches as other muscles cover for the paralyzed or weak muscles. I'm writing about the soreness in breast muscles. That's new (2-3 weeks). The pain is usually only upon pressure and does not hurt all the time. My own research shows low T can cause this issue as can strained muscles.
I want your opinion. FYI: HR 68-74 Pulse Ox 95-96 (normally this are from polio paralysis of right side of diaphragm in the up position)
Thanks, XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Can be a muscle strain.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain and soreness in the breast muscles that you have can be due to low testosterone levels, muscle strain due to lifting of some weights or use of cholesterol lowering medicines. Rest and hot compress will help in improvement. You can also increase the fluid intake and apply a local analgesic gel over the area for relief.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
