Dear XXXXXXX

Welcome back on Ask a Doctor service!

I understand your concern and would explain that an episode of bad eating will not cause any harm to your heart, especially if you follow a regular healthy diet and perform a lot of physical activity (as you refer).

You should know that there are a lot of regulatory physiological mechanisms in your body which help maintain a balance by pushing away the toxic substances from the body and regulate your fasting glucose levels and blood lipid profile.

These mechanisms may be insufficient to protect the body when bad eating becomes an everyday habit.

But this is not your case.

So just relax and don't worry about it!

I would just encourage you to follow a healthy lifestyle like you are doing now.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

I remain at your disposal for any further questions whenever you need!

Wishing a nice weekend,

Dr.Iliri

Brief Answer:
Your symptoms are related to costochondritis or local inflammation.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

I understand your concern and as a cardiologist I would like to reassure you that your symptoms are not related to the heart.

I am also sure that your cardiac stress echo will result normal too.

In my opinion, costochondritis or local muscle inflammation could be the reason of your complaints.

So, there is nothing to worry about!

I would just recommend having some rest and taking painkillers ( acetaminophen or ibuprofen).

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Let me know about everything!

Kind regards,

Dr.Iliri
