Posted on Thu, 2 Nov 2023
Question: Hi doctor, recently I visited Dubai for a leisure trip. There I had sex with a prostitute in the night of 8th May. I was wearing condom, I was cummed in around 30 seconds. I was keep looking at the condom and after cumming that girl took off the condom with tissue. That night I couldn't sleep at all because I was worried and kept thinking and researching about HIV AIDS. I came back home on 11th may. Since today morning my whole body is feeling numb and I have a little acne on my neck under my neck on the left side of the throat. On 11th may when i came back to home, there was a pain in my uper left arm and wasn't able to raise my arm, now it's fine. Please let me know, I am very much worried and keep searching online for the symptoms of HIV AIDS.

Brief Answer:
No chance of HIVif intercourse was protected

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
If you had protected intercourse and was wearing condom throughout the act , then there are absolutely no chance of contracting any sexually transmitted diseases including HIV.
The symptoms you are having are general symptoms and are not any specific symptoms of HIV.
Moreover, symptoms of HIV are weakness, recurrent infections, diarrhea, pneumonia, and decreased CD4 counts in blood sample.
All these symptoms appear at least 6 weeks after the exposure, and not before that.
Since you had protected intercourse, there is absolutely nothing to worry.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
