First of all, let us consider a few facts:

1. The first day of your cycle is considered day1
2. You release an egg on about day 14 of your cycle
3. Based on the time that sperm can live in the cervix, the days during which you can get pregnant is about day 11- day 17.
4. If you had intercourse outside of this range, the chance of pregnancy is very very low
5. If you had intercourse inside of this range, the chance of pregnancy may be as low as 10-15%

Next, consider that the use of emergency contraception within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse is very effective at preventing a pregnancy from occurring. This is mostly related to intercourse during cycle days 1-day 11.

So, I guess I would encourage you not to panic because the odds are in your favor that you are not pregnant. If you can, and it has been 72 hours or less, you need to get PlanB emergency contraception which you can buy at any pharmacy without a prescription.
