He burps a lot and his upper abdomen pains a lot and it bulges out after eating. Doc adviced ro do endoscopy which did not rule out any main reason it said hernia in the food pipe and doc said that is very minor and does not require any specific treatmeant.

Since he has lot of pain in the upper abdomen whcih offen radiates back at the center and he keeps complaining of the pain and acidity a lot doc adviced for CT contrast.

My dad did the ct scan and endoscopy report looks normal he has been taking perinorm tablet and pantadoc along with mucaine and softavac powede.
But his pain in the upper abdomen bloating and blenching has not stoppped his stomach pains a lot

We visited another doctor and he prescribed two tableta cintodac capsule and tablet revotril which i saw on internet is for seizzeers or nervous system and its an anti depressent.

And doc has adviced fo test named ct abdomen with abdomen angiogram ptotocal which is non invasive. Hia present complaint is severe pain in the upper abdomen immediately after food which last for atleast 1 hour.

My question is whether he shud go for this tests as it involves contrast XXXXXXX both oral and injection and he has done ct abdomen with contrast in the month of august only

Is this pain in the stomach due to abdomen angina? Or anythg related to heart pls advice and this contrast tests is safe to do in heart patients

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

After going through the medical details provided by you I can very well understand your concern for your fathers health and I would like to tell you that from the symptoms detailed by you it definitely looks to be a gastric problem.

The medicines which he has been prescribed currently are good and in my opinion you should start then and wait for at least a week to see the results of the medications before going ahead with any test or investigations.

If the medication does it’s job then it’s fine otherwise we have to go for the tests.

The problem looks for Of a gastric issue rather than a cardiac.

Yes this test are generally safe in cardiac patients. His current cardiac medications are fine.

Hope to have been helpful.

Kind Regards

Brief Answer:
Hello again

Detailed Answer:
I have gone through the reports attached by you and the good thing is that there is no serious medical issues.

There are age related changes in the blood vessels and there are so signs suggestive of ischemia.

Rest there is fecal matter accumulated which is causing inflammation and formation of excess amount of gases there by causing abdominal pain and discomfort.

In my opinion you should consult a gastroenterologist personally as probably he will be requiring some laxatives to clear the bowel.

I hope this information will guide you properly.

Kind Regards
