Brief Answer:
Can you upload some images please?

Detailed Answer:
I understand your concern but this is something which may need visual inspection. I request you to upload some images of what you are describing. I would also like you to tell me if the skin in her armpits and the genital area are more darker than the usual complexion.

Hi Doctor,

So this is regarding the facial and body hair which I had mentioned for my 19 months old daughter.
As you had asked, her skin in the armpit and genital area are not very dark the usual complexion. Her genital area is fine . Skin under the armpit is slightly darker nothing unusual though
I will attach the pics of the hair as you had asked. Let me know if you got it

Brief Answer:
I have seen the images nothing to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hello, I have seen the images and thank you for the information that the skin is not very dark in those areas.

I am glad to assure that there is nothing serious to worry about here and I feel this here is completely physiological.

Initially I had considered congenital adrenal hyperplasia but I do not think so after seeing the images.

Thanks for the reply..
So this hair will shed over time?
Is it normal for kids of this age to have hair on the face and body?
Is it a hormonal issue?

Detailed Answer:
From the images I do not think this is excessive hair growth and I do not feel there is anything wrong with the hormones.
I feel this will get better over time.

Understood.
I was concerned asbi had hormonal imbalance and had some tablets b4 pregnancy.
I was curious if my hormonal imbalanve can translate as a hair growth in hers as i also have nore hair on face.
Also i am using minoxidil on my hair once a week. Do you see its safe to use it while i am breastfeeding her?

Brief Answer:
Minoxidil and breastfeeding

Detailed Answer:
Because of the minimal amount of information on this potent agent, use minoxidil with caution, particularly when therapy involves a large maternal dosage or breastfeeding a newborn.

But - Topical minoxidil should pose low risk to the breastfed baby.

Brief Answer:
I do not see this as a reason

Detailed Answer:
I do not see this as a reason because there is no exclusive breastfeeding which is still being continued for the hormones to get transferred.
