Hi I Have Noticed 3 Red Marks On The Side

default
Posted on Tue, 28 Jul 2020
Question: Hi

I have noticed 3 red marks on the side of my upper right leg / buttock (see photos). The 2 lower marks appeared 2 weeks ago and have faded a little. The upper mark appeared a couple of days ago. It is 7mm - 8mm in diameter. It is smooth. Not itchy.

I have no other symptoms. I am a fit and healthy 36 year old male non smoker that exercises regularly.

What could it be? Should I be concerned?

Brief Answer:
Fungal infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have gone through your query and viewed the image.

I can see dry looking, red, circular patches. They seem like fungal even though they are not itchy. I suggest you to use a topical antifungal e.g either clotrimazole cream or ketoconazole cream, twice daily for a few days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you need any more assistance.
