Question: Hi I have lots of heartburn, gas, and stomach ache, usually after eating. I also am having troubles with bowl movements, getting constipated a lot and poop coming out in small diameter

I read your query and here is my advice.

I think you are suffering from gastritis which is inflammation of gastric mucosa.
Helicobacter pylori may be the cause of it.
You may need to do a gastroscopy to check the stomach mucosal lining.
Taking PPI like Omeprazole can help you with symptoms.

Problems with the bowel movement may be caused as a side effect of antiacids that you are taking.

You can use Lactulose syrup to ease constipation.
However, visiting a gastroenterologist is advisable.

Thanks for your response. I forgot to mention that I started taking MiraLax with my coffee to help me with the constipation, this does work, but when I stop taking it the constipation comes back. Is it safe to continue taking MiraLax long term.
