Hi I Have A Couple Of Questions About Some Blood

default
Posted on Tue, 5 Nov 2019
Question: Hi I have a couple of questions about some blood work and thyroid and white blood cell count.

I noticed tonight that under where and Adam%E2%80%99s apple would be it%E2%80%99s a bit puffy. I thought it was strange as I had a test in August and my parathyroid intact was 29 and fine. I%E2%80%99m not sure why a whole thyroid panel wasn%E2%80%99t done?

Anyway I started to look back at older blood tests to see if they had done a thyroid test and saw that my white blood cell count was 10.75 and my granulocytes were high at 7.97 on May 7. So then I went and saw that my wbc was higher before on April 14 at 11.59 and granulocytes at 8.45.

Is this something I should be worried about? That my granulocytes were so high?

Also I%E2%80%99m a little puffy I guess where my thyroid is but my August parathyroid test was fine? I also had a ultrasound of that area in this summer and they said my thyroid had only one module which it%E2%80%99s had for over a decade same size.

I guess this all started because my area on my throat is puffy so I started looking for answers.

I%E2%80%99d love to hear your opinions. Thank you!

I have read your query and here is my answer.

* The granulocytes percentage was not that alarming to be stressed out and
number of reasons turn up as bacterial infection, allergy or else showing
such changes apart from thyroid disturbances.

Kindly provide me further details so that I can answer your query completely.

3. Noticeable weight changes if any in recent past ?
4. If visible outside neck, a photo pic of swelling of neck is greatly
appreciated.

Awaiting for your response.
